Effective Monday, December 15th, 2014 the City of Richmond Codes Department will be located at their new location in the basement of City Hall. Entry will be thru the east side door.
The Codes Enforcement Department's mission is to enforce the adopted codes regarding the construction and maintenance of buildings and structures in order to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Richmond. To this end, the Codes Enforcement Department will strive for excellence in educating its employees to provide quality inspections and customer service.

The purpose of the Codes Enforcement Department is to preserve the viability and stability of the business and residential districts and to prevent deterioration and blighting influences within the community.
