Public Affairs Unit
Due to staffing constraints, the Public Information Officer position is not currently being staffed. Public information is being disseminated by members of the Administrative Division. Anyone desiring public affairs information should contact Detective Brian Lafferty or a member of the Command Staff.
The Public Affairs Unit is responsible for scheduling police department tours, speaking to civic and youth groups, coordinating neighborhood watch programs, scheduling drug talks and presentations, fingerprinting of children, making safety and crime prevention presentations and coordinating the Greater Madison Area Citizen Police Academy.
