The Richmond Police Department is a full-service police agency and is proud to serve the Commonwealth Of Kentucky and the Citizens of Richmond. The department has 82 total employees, 68 sworn police officers (which includes 2 School Resource Officers), 2 non-sworn Public Safety Officers, 2 non-sworn crime scene technicians, 1 Police Social Services Coordinator, 4 non-sworn Park Security officers, and 5 administrative personnel.
The Richmond Police Department is comprised of dedicated professional police officers who are committed to our community. As a department, we are proud of the spirit of cooperation within our city and we are committed to working together to assure that our community is a safe and pleasant place in which to live and work. Our officers are dedicated to the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and pledge to continue to work with the community to solve problems of concern for the citizens of Richmond.
