One of four agencies in the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet's Department for Workforce Investment, the Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) is responsible for the administration of the Kentucky Tech school district - the first technical education system in the nation to become SACS-CASI accredited because of its continuous improvement process. One of Kentucky Tech's 53 area technology centers (ATCs) is located in Richmond - Madison County Area Technology Center. With a vision to actively engage all students in the mastery of academic and technical skills, the primary purpose of ATCs is to enhance and expand the options students need to be ready for college and a career.
