About the Teen Center
The Richmond Teen Center is a community-based nonprofit organization in Richmond, Kentucky. We work to provide quality after-school programming options to Madison County's Middle and High School students.
Our Mission is to provide a safe, secure, and quality after-school program to the youth in Richmond, Kentucky. The Richmond Teen Center targets youth ages 11 to 18 with the goals of reducing delinquent activity and providing opportunities for students to learn and develop healthy lifestyle habits.

Applications can be obtained online or at Madison County Schools, Richmond Parks and Recreation.
Public Transit
During the school year, Madison County Public Schools provides transportation to the Richmond Teen Center from Caudill & Central.
Parents are required to pick up their children by the end of each program.

Back-to-School Bash
Thursday, August 10th | 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Irvine-McDowell Park
We are currently looking for community organizations that provide services/resources to children & their families to set up at this event. There is no vendor fee to set up. CLICK HERE for an application!
We are also collecting donations for this event. We need items such as backpacks, folders, notebooks, feminine hygiene products, pencil pouches, Kleenex's, binders, dry erase markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, pens, markers, glue sticks, index cards, loose leaf paper, etc. You can drop these items off at our office, located at 345 Lancaster Ave, Richmond, KY 40475. Checks need to be made payable to the Richmond Teen Center & mailed to 345 Lancaster Ave, Richmond, KY 40475.

Fall 2023 Programs
- Tuesday Night Mentoring Program | Starting Sept 5th @ 3pm-6pm - We're partnering with David Townsend of The Home of Opportunities & Dreams and various community partners for this mentoring program. We will cover topics such as stress, anxiety, mental health awareness, organization, personal life goals, self-reflection, and so much more! Food & drinks provided.
- Thursday Night Free Play Program | Starting Sept 7th @ 3pm-6pm - This program will include a structured activity each week followed by free play recreational opportunities (gaga ball, basketball, yard games, crafts, etc.) Snacks & drinks provided.
- Thursday Night Free Cooking Classes for Middle & High School Students - These classes are facilitated by the Madison County Extension Office. See graphic below for dates/times.

Community Teen Programs
The Home of Opportunities and Dreams (HOOD)
The HOOD's goals are focused on programs and services that will empower and educate the youth and families being served. The purpose of education and empowerment is to help at-risk youth and vulnerable young adults build positive self-esteem, improve their self-image, and enhance their self-worth; while increasing personal responsibility for actions and behaviors.
Programs and Services include Volunteerism, Mentoring, Advocacy, Assessments, Partnering, Family Services, Case Management, Transitional Services, and Group Psycho-Social Education.

Madison County 4-H
The 4-H Youth Development program creates opportunities and supportive environments for youth and adults to become capable, competent and caring citizens. The emphasis is on "hands-on" learning that focuses on the youth's area of interest. Programs are conducted with the help of parents, adult volunteer leaders and professional staff who organize educational experiences. Youth participate in organized 4-H clubs, special interest and project groups, 4-H school enrichment programs, 4-H camp and other special activities.

Give N Go
Give N Go is a community outreach ministry designed to grow and disciple kids and youth of all ages through mentoring relationships. They use different sporting activities as a vehicle to reach out to kids and youth in the community in order to establish positive mentoring relationships.

Rhema Word Foundation
They help women, children & seniors who are survivors of abuse restore their quality of life. They also have a team of community health workers that are tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities they serve. They offer services such as: help individuals navigate healthcare & social service systems, manage care and care transitions of vulnerable populations, reduce isolation amongst individuals, create connections between vulnerable populations & healthcare providers and so much more!

Young Life in Madison County is dedicated to coming alongside and mentoring our middle school, high school, and college aged friends.

We're accepting donations for our second-semester school refresher for middle and high school students. Out of the 425 students, we found that 231 of them listed that they typically need extra school supplies. After seeing those numbers, we really felt it was important to make sure to keep meeting those needs. We have decided to host a "Second Semester Refresher" at the Teen Center in January for middle and high school students.
School Supplies Donations
We collect donations for our Back-to-School Bash at Irvine McDowell Park in August beginning in the summer months. This supplies includes items such as backpacks, loose leaf paper, single subject notebooks, folders, markers, colored pencils, crayons, pens, pencils, index cards & hand sanitizers. Our 2023 Back-to-School Bash is on August 10th from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
